The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is an active member of a consortium of technical universities in Southeast Asia known as SEATUC (South East Asia Technical University Consortium). This academic collaboration in the fields of Science and Technology was established by Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2007. The consortium’s membership consists of leading technical universities from five countries in Southeast Asia: from Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB); from Malaysia, the University of Technology Malaysia; from Thailand, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and Suranaree University of Technology (SUT); and from Vietnam, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT).
Submissions should be in PDF format and within four (4) to six (6) printed pages, including figures, following the SEATUC paper format. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers.
Only accepted papers can be presented in the Technical Session (TS) as oral presentations and published in the SEATUC 20th Proceedings. Authors of selected papers will have the opportunity to submit extended versions of their work to the SEATUC Journal of Science and Engineering (SJSE).
Some papers may be accepted for the Poster Session (PS) or the Work-in-Progress Session (WiPS) as poster presentations.
*If authors plan to submit an extended version of their SEATUC 20ᵗʰ manuscript to SJSE, please consider using the FastTrack option as described in Figure on the side.
*TS papers will be included in the Proceedings and published on the designated website. If you do not wish to have your paper published, please submit your paper to WiPS.
Authors are invited to submit unpublished short papers in English. Submissions should be in PDF format and within two (2) printed pages, including figures, following the SEATUC paper format. Submitted short papers will be peer-reviewed by at least one reviewer. Only accepted papers can be presented in the poster session (PS) as poster presentations and published in the SEATUC 20ᵗʰ proceedings. Some papers may be accepted in the work-in-progress session (WiPS).
*PS papers will be included in the Proceedings and published on the designated website. If you do not wish to have your paper published, please submit your paper to WiPS.
Authors are welcome to submit their work-in-progress or ongoing work in English. Submissions are allowed within two (2) printed pages in one of the following formats:
the SEATUC paper format used for TS and PS,
the SEATUC abstract format,
6-up printed PowerPoint slides, and
a 1-page poster presentation format.
All submissions can be presented in the work-in-progress session (WiPS) as poster presentations and published in a restricted area accessible only to SEATUC 20ᵗʰ participants.
*WiPS papers will not be made public. However, they will be included separately in the Proceedings and will be made available only to SEATUC 20ᵗʰ participants.
Special workshop session proposals from SEATUC member universities are welcome. Workshop organizers must submit a workshop proposal to the Co-Chair of SEATUC 20ᵗʰ Workshop by the end of June 2025.

Authors are encouraged to check the similarity index of their paper before submission. Papers suspect of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, repeated publication etc. will be rejected without further consideration.
