PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) operates a coal mine in Sangatta, East Kalimantan, and is one of the largest export coal mines in the world. Coal production in 2010 will be around 45 million tonnes with significant further expansion planned in the years to come.
KPC offers the KPC Scholarship Program to outstanding students from reputable universities.
The scholarship aims at:
- Supporting students financially to complete their S1 education (semesters 5 to 8 for students in the third year, and semester 7 to 8 for students in the fourth year).
- Providing them with an opportunity to undertake their Final Assignment (Tugas Akhir) at KPC.
For the academic year 2010/2011, KPC offers opportunities for ELECTRICAL, CIVIL, GEOLOGY and MECHANICAL ENGINEERING students.
To introduce the program to students, we will conduct a presentation on KPC on day, time, and venue to be advised.
Eligibility
Students should fulfill these requirements:
- Is currently studying in the third year (semester 5) or in the fourth year (semester 7) of the S1 degree program indicated above.
- Is not older than 22 years old on the closing date of application.
- Possesses a high level of academic achievement (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00).
- Will not be receiving a scholarship from another institution during this program.
Scholarship Coverage
This scholarship covers the following:
- Education assistance for one or two years, with the amount of IDR 6,000,000 per semester.
