PRESENTATION: KYUSHU UNIVERSITY

“Kyushu University is one of the top-tier universities in Japan. Founded in 1911 as one of the seven imperian universities in Japan, we have been a leader in education and research not just in the Japanese archipelago but throughout Asia. Currently, we have the total student population of 18,763, of which about 9% are international students, with our faculty boasting roughly 2,300 full-time members. Comprehensive in academic reach, we have over 11 undergraduates departments and 18 graduate schools with their affiliate research centers. But our main strengths lie in particularly active and innovative science programs, as is shown by the fact we run on of conveniently located in Fukuoka, Japan, which has been voted one of the ten most attractive Asian cities by the Asia Week magazine for three consecutive years. We are currently in the process of relocating to the new state-of-the-art campus, which will, upon completion, make us quite unrivaled in Asia in terms of advanced research facilities” (Kazuo OGATA, Prof. Dr)
