The course provides introduction to state of the art geoscientific investigation techniques for geothermal field development, with case studies. The course details the importance of strong scientific judgment for the selection of techniques, and the need for good quality geoscientific data in order to build sound conclusions/recommendations at each stage of a geothermal project. Course activities include lecture, laboratory and field exercises, group projects, and a field trip.
Instructors:
Greg Bignall, David McNamara, Pri Utami, Kartika Savitri (Geology); Rob Reeves, Ed Mrozeck, Agung Harijoko (Geochemistry); Rob Reeves, Supri Soengkono, Wiwit Suryanto (Geophysics).
