National Institute for International Education (NIIED), Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Republic of Korea is offering “Korean Government invitation Program for Undergraduate Student from Major Partner Country 2012″ program, for undergraduate students who are still enroling their second or third year of study. This program is designed to provide students with invaluable experience in Korea. Students who have interest in this training program are welcome to join in.
This program will be held on July 10th to 20th, and each partner country will be represented by 2 – 4 students. NIIED will cover round trip air ticket, stay cost during the program and medical insurance; while students will have to cover the transportation fare and visa fee by themselves. The programs will include lectures, government organizations, visiting universities, field trip to historic place, Korean company, cultural activities, and others.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate students in the second or third year.
- Priority is given to the students who have never been to Korea.
- Students who have interest in Korean history and culture.
- Minimum IPK is 3.50.
- Minimum TOEFL ITP score is 530.
- Write a short essay about Korean history and culture (max. 500 words).
- Fill the application form (you can get a copy from OIA UGM).
The application deadline is March 28, 2012. Because of the very little time, recommendation letter from your faculty can be submitted later than the due date, only for the nominated candidates (so we will notify students who are selected to join this program).
